About This Place

La Borgata Italian Deli, located at 317 Main St in Vacaville, CA, is a genuine culinary gem for lovers of authentic Italian deli fare and comfort food. This bustling deli and sandwich shop offers a delicious array of classic Italian sandwiches and homemade specialties that invite you to savor every bite. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick espresso, a hearty sandwich, or a sweet cannoli, La Borgata transforms everyday lunch into an indulgent experience.

From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly sliced Mortadella, savory prosciutto, and rich cheeses fills the air, hinting at the authentic Italian heritage behind every item. The menu is a delightful journey through traditional deli staples and inventive takes on Italian sandwiches. Customer favorites like the Monday Muffaletta—layered mortadella, ham, salami, provolone, mozzarella, and olive spread on perfectly toasted focaccia—showcase the deli’s knack for balancing bold flavors with wholesome ingredients. Equally tempting are the Sottomarino Sandwich and the Prosciutto Panino, boasting tender meats paired with fresh, vibrant toppings that explode with savory and slightly tangy notes.

La Borgata also offers daily specials that add a welcoming sense of variety to the menu. On Tuesdays, the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, topped with melted mozzarella and zesty marinara on French bread, provides a comforting, cheesy indulgence. Wednesdays bring a spicy kick with the Hot Italian Beef featuring roast beef cooked in au jus and layered with sweet and hot peppers, onions, and just the right touch of mayo and mustard. These thoughtfully crafted specials keep locals excited to return throughout the week.

The deli’s "Build Your Own Sandwich" option speaks to its commitment to customer satisfaction, with a wide selection of breads—from crusty French and earthy ciabatta to gluten-free choices—and cold cuts including classics like ham and turkey alongside Italian cured meats like Hot Capicollo and Pastrami. The cheese selection, featuring Asiago, provolone, and pepper jack, rounds out each creation to perfection. For a refreshing complement, the San Pellegrino sparkling water and fresh Greek salad add bright, crisp accents that balance the rich flavors of the sandwiches.

What truly elevates La Borgata is not only the quality of their food but the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming spirit. Locals describe it as a small European café-inspired spot, where you can enjoy a rich espresso or a cannoli tray while soaking in the friendly, cozy ambiance. Love this place and the pride the restaurant takes in their menu and food selection. Great Sandwhiches! My personal favorite is the Monday Special Mufalleta. Olive spread is amazing and the bread is perfect. Friendly Staff! Must Try Spot!

I came here La Borgata Italian Deli to meet a friend on a Friday around 3pm. This Italian deli is a great place to get a cup of coffee, Italian sandwich or a pastry. Employees are all super nice and helpful. The vibe is a good small European cafe feel with nice decor. There were plenty of people in and out and people meeting for a cup of coffee and chit chatting. Seems like lots of locals come here to meet friend and have a nice conversation. I have the Sottomarino Sandwich (#4) which was very tasty. The bun was soft and not chewy. Will definitely be back again and bring the family for a little taste of Italy.

Food and service are always wonderful! My favorite lunch spot downtown. It's my favorite sandwich spot anywhere! Don't make your own sandwiches. Choose one from their expertly thought-out menu items...and always get the monthly sandwich sandwich.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐It was my first time here. Right when we walk in, I could smell all the delicious, fancy meat. I could smell the Mortadella. There are way too many delicious options. I was recommended the #4. Thank you!!! Great recommendation! I will be back! No wonder my husband comes here all the time for lunch. I highly recommend. If I could, I would give it a 10!!

One of the best sandwiches I’ve EVER had. We ordered many different ones, from turkey to pastrami to the famous #4. All were fantastic, as were the cannolis. Highly recommend this place.

This deli is a GEM! The atmosphere is cozy, clean and always welcoming. The food is AMAZING! Authentic Italian food and the portions are huge. The prices are extremely fair! Less than a skimpy chain sandwich. This place is a must visit, it's addicting. ***I get no veggies and my sandwich is huge, all meat and cheese**** yummmmmmy

Stopped in for cannoli. They made it fresh while I waited. Yum. Friendly staff, too. Great little space with cold cuts, Italian desserts, and some imported Italian goods, and indoor+outdoor seating.
